bproauto Microsite

bproauto is a new aftermarket automotive brand coming to the US. The aftermarket for automotive parts is highly saturated, with established companies such as Magna, Bosch, Denso just to name a few. The challenge is that bproauto is new and has only a few parts available for sale, but at the same time they need to establish brand awareness. The brand’s audience is B2B (auto-repair shop owners) and consumers (automotive enthusiasts).

See Live Project

A Seed in My Mind

Have you been dreaming and building a project in your sleep? Being obsessed with an idea?

Day by day the project took shape in my mind. I envisioned all its parts. The big picture vision was of parts that fit perfectly together. A new, different company was promising a new experience. It was a new, high-tech modern feel. The website was sleek and intuitive. It used unconventional horizontal scrolling to tell a story.

I was thrilled to take part into the shaping of a new automotive brand's online presence.
The best part — having a creative freedom to explore! The challenge — a short deadline.

The Goal

Brand exposure

To make a memorable impression as an innovative brand backed by an OEM.

‍Research

  • Competitive benchmarking
  • Stakeholder interviews
  • Researched solutions for creating a microsite

The Problem

  • A new, unknown brand coming to a saturated automotive aftermarket
  • Only a few parts available for sale
  • A need for temporary microsite before a large website with ecommerce experience is created
  • Tight deadline

The Solution

  • A horizontal scroll, one-page, editorial-style micro website that tells the brand's story
  • Main page links to individual product pages with traditional vertical scrolling

Key Messaging

Gathered key messages from interviews with the JRT agency stakeholders: Mopar business account manager, Client Services Manager, and the CEO of Marketing.

  • Quality
  • Most makes supported
  • Reasonable prices/affordability
  • OE (Original Equipment)
  • Up-to-date technology
  • Reliability

Look and Feel

  • Minimalist, high-tech
  • Right to the point, direct message
  • Visual impact through clean high-tech images and subtle animations, vehicle line art reminiscent of mechanical draft drawings.
